{JOIN THE MOVEMENT}
Never heard of Pottstown? Doesn't matter. Lived in Pottstown all of your life but never made a movie? This is your chance! We're encouraging everyone, everywhere to get involved in the Pottstown In Focus Short Film Festival…

Let Pottstown be your palette.

Pottstown is a vibrant community located in the American Mid Atlantic landscape. Founded in 1752 at the meeting of the Manatawny Creek and Schuylkill River in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Pottstown boasts a rich history of industry and craftsmanship having been founded on iron works, blast furnaces, and steel culminating with fabrication of the Golden Gate Bridge by Bethlehem Steel Works in the Borough in 1933.

The Borough of Pottstown, comprised of 22,000 residents, is experiencing a social and economic renaissance, due to the collaboration of partners reveling in its rich history, art, theatre, recreation, business, educational institutions, natural environment, and cultural diversity. Pottstown and the greater region is home to the Montgomery County Community College West Campus as well Pottstown, Pottsgrove, and Owen J. Roberts School Districts, as well as St. Aloysius Catholic School, The Wyndcroft School, and The Hill School, an internationally renowned college preparatory school. Major businesses include the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, DANA Holding Corporation, and Heartland Employment Services. New businesses that have relocated to Pottstown in recent years include VideoRay, Sly Fox Brewery, Haggerty Steel, and Manatawny Still Works.

Annually Pottstown welcomes cultural and recreational enthusiasts from all over the nation for The Pow Wow on Manatawny Creek, a celebration of Native Indian Heritage; The Quaker State BMX Nationals, welcoming bikers from all over the United States; and the Pottstown Rumble Grass Volleyball Tournament, a 25-year tradition that brings 4,000 players and spectators to Memorial Park from all over the world, making it the largest tournament of its kind.

There is much to be excited about in Pottstown. We are proud of our rich past and confident in our future and we ask you to incorporate a bit of Pottstown into your entry, to invite us into your art and let Pottstown be the palette with which you create.
